I had to control the Y button spam to optimize the boss fight Stage 8 I improved the level (before the boss) almost 4-5 frames compared to my last run Stage 7 If the character is off camera or in a transition of get down from a balcony is invincible during the transition Stage 5 Shorter transition of killing the boss than my last run Stage 4 I tested if was more faster keep the boss up or get down from the corridor. The only thing optimizable in this level is the boss fight, luck manipulation was used.

Here starts the main objetive before the boss: NOT LET TO STOP THE CAMERA SCROLLING, Stage 2 You can see it from this ram watch file Explanation by stage Stage 1 The bosses have 80 points of life, every shoot is 1 point, some structures of the boss fights have 24, 40 or 80 points. Luck manipulation was neccesary in almost every boss fight The bullet limit is a problem with The Smith Bros, because that limit includes the impact effect (You can see this too in the second bonus stage). With Steve and Billy i can shoot more frecuently than Bob or Cormano and their bullets moves faster than Bob and Cormano.Įveryone moves at the same speed, but Cormano has a more longer animation at tne fight end (consuming time). The coin-op version was released in two variants: a two-player version and a four-player version. The game is set in the American Old West, where the player takes control of a bounty hunter who is seeking the rewards offered for various criminals. It is a must-play for all aspiring cowboys, bandits, and train robbers.Sunset Riders is a side-scrolling run and gun video game developed and released by Konami as a coin-operated video game on the JAMMA arcade platform in 1991. If you can only play one western game, make it Sunset Riders. I challenge anyone to hard mode, zero lives, zero continues. Besides the three difficulty levels, the lives and continues can be altered. The game provides plenty of entertainment. Launching bullets across the screen at enemies doesn’t get boring. Sunset Riders is a game with a lot of replay value. This is nice, because backgrounds don’t get boring. Each character is dressed in his own colorful wardrobe, so no one will get confused.

There are nice backgrounds of the country. Nothing spectacular, but it’s still good. One could get killed a lot if the jumps are not timed right. The only way to dodge bullets is to jump in place. At the beginning of Level 2, you are only able to shoot from the horse. A gun position lock with the R-button would have been helpful, but the game is fine without it.įlipping from the foreground to the background can get confusing sometimes, but the characters can’t be hurt while changing positions. Certain areas cannot be shot from other areas. Explosions are muffled as well, but it isn’t too bad. Firing bullets makes a cool, twang noise.

They are fun to quote at school, work, or anywhere else. The voices are muffled, but that is almost average of games from 1993. It is laced with original desert tunes that help you kill more bandits. It’s exciting to see if you can shoot all 50 targets, luck or skill. There are cities, taverns, mountains, and more. Stampedes, fires, and boulders are just a few. The levels have many obstacles to overcome. There are four cowboys to choose from: Steve and Billy have the quick pistols Bob and Cormano have the shotguns. It’s even better when played with a friend. Sunset Riders is a great shoot ’em up western side-scroller. Whether you’re walking, riding horses, or riding trains, your goal is to defeat the boss of the stage and step closer to Richard. There are ten stages of gun-slinging action. There is a price on Sir Richard Rose’s head.
